FAQ

Quick answers before and after you buy. For details, see the user guide.

Before you buy

Is Midad good for an Arabic-only blog?

Yes. Midad works in one language out of the box, Arabic or English. Running both together is optional, with the free Polylang plugin.

Do I need a page builder like Elementor?

No. Midad is a block theme, fully editable in the modern WordPress editor, which is what keeps it light and fast.

Is it suitable for an online shop?

Midad is built for blogs and editorial sites and has no shop templates. If you need a store, choose a theme made for shops.

Can I use it for client sites?

Yes. Choose the plan that matches your number of sites: 5 sites with Pro, or 20 with Agency.

Does it work with SEO and caching plugins?

Yes. It works with popular plugins such as Yoast, Rank Math and LiteSpeed Cache, and does not disable any core WordPress feature.

Does it support translation plugins other than Polylang?

We test Midad with Polylang, which is what we recommend and support. Other plugins may work, but we do not guarantee them.

Can I try it before buying?

This very site runs on Midad: browse it in Arabic and English, try night mode, and open it on your phone.

Purchase and licence

How can I pay?

Credit and debit cards, and PayPal. Payment is handled by Freemius, Midad’s authorised reseller.

Is the licence per website?

Yes. Your licence key turns on updates and support for the number of sites in your plan. Local sites on your computer do not count.

Does it renew automatically?

The licence is yearly and renews automatically to keep updates and support. You can cancel renewal at any time from your account at users.freemius.com.

What if I do not renew?

The theme keeps working on your site as it is. Only new updates and support stop.

Do I get an invoice?

Yes, a PDF invoice is emailed to you after every payment.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 7 days of purchase, if Midad has a technical problem that our support cannot fix. See the terms of sale and licence.

How do I move my licence to another site?

Deactivate it on the old site (Appearance → Midad licence → Licence and account details → Deactivate License), then activate it on the new one.

After you buy

I did not receive the purchase email

Check your spam folder and look for an email from “Midad via Freemius”. If it is not there, write to hi@lightblue-bee-432272.hostingersite.com.

How do updates arrive?

Automatically, in your WordPress dashboard under Dashboard → Updates, as long as your licence is active.

Will updates erase my changes?

No. Site Editor changes (colours, text, menus) are stored in your database. For custom code, use the child theme.

In which languages is support offered?

Arabic and English.
